Welcome to paradise
Alpine Swift Trails is a high altitude training facility for sportspeople, situated on the beautiful Grace Hill Farm, just outside Rhodes Village in the Southern Drakensberg, very close to Lesotho. Two of the highest mountain passes in South Africa, the Naude’s Neck Pass and the Carlisleshoek Pass are both on our doorstep. Altitudes reach up to 3,001m above sea level.
For athletes
Alpine Swift Trails caters for all athletes – especially road, trail and mountain runners and mountain bikers – offering a package that includes physio, Pilates, coaching, gym, nutrition, and accommodation, all combining to make you the complete athlete that you want to be. Practice your river crossings in the sparkling Bell River.

Alpine Swift Trails is also an ideal getaway for anyone wanting to escape it all. Experience the beauty of the Rhodes area in the Southern Berg and stay in one of our accommodation units with access to our facilities and activities on the working farm.
Who we are
Alpine Swift Trails was founded by Hylton and Sunelle Dunn in 2013, both keen athletes.
